Aggregator - Leave things to them

<>An aggre-gator is a bot that is designed to log into several user accounts and retrieve similar information. Many examples of aggregators exist today. Financial software, such as Intuit’s Quicken and Microsoft Money, can be used to present aggregated views of a user’s financial and credit accounts. A online example can be found on http://www.yodlee.com/.

Pattern recognition owned by intelligent agent

Non-intelligent agent can only do jobs preprogrammed, and no or few judgements can be achived. However, intelligent agent is more powerful. For example, a news-clipping agent can be trained with prior knowledge of what kinds of news are serious (for example). Then, it can play in an adaptive way, selecting so-called serious articles and updating its knowledge by feedbacks from its users. AI pattern recognition technology can find its place here. From my point of view, theory used in adaptive testing is available too. Some trials on automatic article scoring have been done, and the related theory and technology can be employed to distinguish seriousness from non-seriousness. I am waiting for my first such kind of agent!

why not employ a bot

Bot, a newly born term, has a full name: softbot, originating from Robot. I once imaged that one day I would have my personal friend, one lovely and trustable robot, but till day it is still far away. I often want secretary who can do routine jobs for me everyday, but I have no money. Sign! Thanks for genius of IT, and today we have potential choice - buy, or develop ourselves, or even share a soft-robot, and ask them to serve us in a great way (wish so).

"Today we celebrate our independent day...", for me, today I begin the long path to my own bot dream.
